Bearing Noise Levels Information

Share
The noise levels of bearings depend essentially on the
following factors
● geometric precision and quality of the tracks and balls
● cleanliness of the bearings and the lubricant
● precision with which the play is taken up when mounting the bearings
● value and direction of loads
● rotation speed
Some steps that can be taken in selection of bearings for low noise applications
include
● Select a high precision bearing
● Increase the viscosity of the lubricant used
● Select standard clearance - too high clearance can result in impact contacting of the balls on the races, whilst too low clearance may result in squealing due to binding.
