Timing Belts and Pulleys

Timing belt drives are toothed belts and pulleys which transmit power and speed accurately from a drive shaft to a driven shaft. The teeth of the belt fit into the grooves of a matching pulley. Correctly tensioned timing belt drives have no slippage and are often used in indexing applications.

The two main tooth styles offered by MBA are the trapezoidal and the rounded tooth types. These types can be further broken down into their various pitches and proprietary styles.
