Cages on some high speed bearings

A plastic cage material formed by the reaction of phenol and formaldehyde. Standard MBA phenolic cages are either paper filled (KB type) or fabic filled (KC type). Phenolics have high impact strength, excellent wear characteristics, and dimensional stability up to around 110^oC. Phenolic cages, being less susceptible to vibration and speed are used in bearings for high speed and high precision applications.
